Video: Alejandro Bedoya and Conor O’Brien pick up assists in weekend action

Americans Alejandro Bedoya and Conor O’Brien both picked up assists for their clubs this weekend.

In the first clip, Bedoya showed a nice bit of strength and deception to shed his defender and then lay in a nicely weighted service from the wing.

In the second clip, O’Brien had two passes worth noting, the first at the 0:28 mark where his through ball set-up an unconverted penalty and then later an assist on Sonderjyske’s goal at the 2:31 mark.

The 23-year-old O’Brien has been making some noise this year in the Danish league and might put himself on Jurgen Klinsmann’s radar should he continue to play well.

Bedoya has long been a fan favorite of many USMNT supporters, but has not been called up since the Bob Bradley era.

What do you think the chances are that they both get call ups in the future ? I think Bedoya has a better chance because of his previous experiences with the national team.

I would agree that Bedoya has a better chance than O’Brien – especially in the near future.
