This blog began in the dark days following the U.S.’ 4-2 loss to Mexico in the 2011 Gold Cup.
It started as a way to express my frustration, but has since evolved into an all-encompassing dumping ground for my thoughts on the U.S. men’s and women’s national teams.
It turns out I just plain love writing about U.S. Soccer.
Over time, people have occasionally submitted articles that I have then published on American Touchline.
So, if you’ve got something to say about the U.S. men’s or women’s teams and want a forum to say it (without going through the hassle of running your own blog, learning HTML, etc…), shoot me an e-mail at email@example.com
As a poor Catholic high school teacher I can’t pay for submissions, but if you’re like me, sometimes you just need to blow off some steam by writing down your thoughts.
If I like what you send me, I’ll publish it–simple as that.
